Laboratory of Molecular Pathology

Our goal is to identify new targets for the treatment of signal transduction diseases such as cancer and diabetes!!

  1. What are signal transduction diseases?
Cancer is a cell genetic disease, and as a result of gene mutations in cellular signal molecules, abnormal signal transduction may occur, leading to carcinogenesis and cancer becoming malignant. This can be thought of as signal transduction diseases. Many of these abnormal signal blocking agents are currently being developed as cancer molecule-targeted therapeutic agents.
  2. About therapeutic-targeted signal pathways & molecules
So far, we have focused on the constant activation of cell proliferation and existing signals, such as the ERK-MAP kinase pathway and the PI3 kinase/Akt pathway in cancer cells and hypertrophic adipocytes. In the future, as we will further analyze the signals of pathways and molecules related to various signal transduction diseases, won’t you join us in searching for new targets for the treatment of intractable diseases?
