Historical Materials Center
The Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts Records Center was renamed from the Historical Materials Room in 2016. By inheriting and further developing the work of the historical materials room that was established in 1994 (its predecessor was the D.W.C.L.A. Material Collection Committee (established in 1991)), its purpose is to collect, organize, store, and operate historical materials related to Doshisha Girls' Schools, Women's Vocational College, and the Women's University, and to contribute to research and description of their histories. In addition, these materials are released and exhibited appropriately so that the general public, as well as students and faculty members, can broaden their understanding of the history and traditions of the university. There have been 20 exhibitions so far, and in the year 2000, we edited and published the commemorative photo magazine "Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts 125 Years".
