社会システム学科の教育プログラムである英語特別プログラム（CASE）において、7月13日に「目でわかるフィリピンとフィリピン女性」をテーマに講演会を実施しました。約40名のCASEプログラムの学生が参加し、マニラ出身のLeilani de Veraさんによるクイズやプレゼンテーションを通して、楽しくフィリピンについて学びました。聞き取りやすい英語を聞くことで、新しいフィリピンの情報を得ることができました。将来フィリピンに行ってみたくなったという声も聞かれ、講演会後には自然に何人かの学生がde Veraさんを囲んで、質問会が始まりました。積極的に質問して情報を得ようとする上級生の姿に、下級生の学生たちは刺激を受けたようです。講演会はすべて英語で行われ、充実した時間を持つことができました。

CASE Program Event: The Philippines and Filipino Women at a Glance

Guest speaker events are an important part of the education in the Social Systems Studies Department. Approximately 40 CASE Program students attended the talk “The Philippines and Filipino Women at a Glance” on July 13, 2023. Many students enjoyed learning through a game and presentation by Leilani de Vera from Manila. Through listening to easy English, they were able to get new information. Some said it made them want to visit the Philippines in the future. Several students asked Ms. De Vera questions. Younger students were impressed by seeing older students actively seeking more information by asking questions.
