| Courses & Job Description | (1) Japanese and English courses such as Asia Regional Studies, Oceania Regional Studies, North America Regional Studies, etc., as well as Intercultural Relations, Academic Studies in English I & II (A) – (F) or Project-Based English I & II (2) Teach courses in the department’s CASE Program (Career and Academic Studies in English Program) (Communication in English I・II、Communication Skills I・II and other duties related to coordinating the CASE Program) (3) EMI(English as a Medium of Instruction)Academic Content Seminars: Freshman Seminar, Second-year Seminar, Third-Year Seminar, Graduation Seminar |
| Application Requirements | ・Sympathetic understanding of Christianity and the founding principles of Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts ・Dedication to teaching and supervising students ・Ph.D. in a related field of study or equivalent is preferred ・First language is English or equivalent English proficiency ・Sufficient Japanese proficiency to perform education and administration-related work (participating in meetings, drafting documents, entrance exam-related duties, etc.) ・Experience teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language), EAP (English for Academic Purposes) or EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses is preferred ・At least 3 years of university teaching experience is preferred ・Ability to live within commuting distance (Kansai area) of DWCLA’s Kyotanabe Campus |
| Compensation | Compensation is based on The Employee Handbook for The Doshisha organization Non-Renewal Faculty using The Doshisha pay scale. *Retirement age at Doshisha Women's College is fixed at 65 years of age |
