今年の春から夏にかけて、英語英文学科のラクシャンデル助教が担当されているいくつかの授業では、本学科の学生とアメリカ各地の大学生との異文化交流および英語実践の機会を得ることができました。

5月には、テキサスA&M大学の学生団が、6月には、フレズノ市立大学およびテキサス州立大学の学生が、7月にはノースカロライナ大学シャーロット校の学生が、今出川キャンパスを訪れました。

学生たちがアイスブレイクを行い、グループでポスターを作成したり、グループディスカッションを行ったりしました。こうした活動を通じて、双方の学生がお互いの文化について学び、日常生活や習慣についての考えを共有し、新たな友情を育みました。
こうした交流は、グローバルな相互理解を育み、世界中の仲間とつながる貴重な機会を学生に提供するという、同志社女子大学の継続的な取り組みを反映しています。

今後も、より多くの海外からの学生との交流ができることを楽しみにしています。

This spring and summer, several courses taught by Assistant Professor Rakhshandehroo in the English department gave our students the chance to experience cross-cultural exchange and English practice with university students from across the United States.
In May, a student group from Texas A&M University visited us. In June, we welcomed students from Fresno City College and Texas State University, and in July, students from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte joined us.
The students took part in icebreaker activities, worked together to create posters, and held group discussions. Through these activities, students on both sides learned about each other's cultures, shared their thoughts on daily life and customs, and built new friendships.
These exchanges reflect Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts' ongoing commitment to fostering global understanding and giving students valuable opportunities to connect with peers from around the world.
We look forward to more opportunities for exchange with students from overseas in the future.
