Inbound Programs for International Students

Japanese Studies Program (JSP)

We welcome exchange students from our overseas partner universities for 3 months during the fall semester every year. Japan Studies classes, which are Japanese culture and society classes, are offered to international students as well as DWCLA students. International events, such as sightseeing with the international students, and culture experiences, are also held.

Japanese Language Immersion Course

We welcome students from overseas universities for 4 or 8 weeks from May or mid-June. While these students are studying Japanese language classes at the Imadegawa Campus, they can take part in extracurricular activities, such as field trips to temples in Kyoto, and participate in school clubs. They will be able to experience various aspects of Japanese culture together with DWCLA students.

Study Abroad Program for Universities in Asian Countries

We are accepting exchange students from 11 universities in Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, and Thailand for a 1-semester or 1-year period. In addition to Japanese language classes in accordance with their level, the international students will also be able to take regular classes alongside the DWCLA students. They can interact with Japanese students through extracurricular activities and events.
