Career Support Overview

We provide support for determining a career path, such as job hunting and pursuing higher education, which emphasizing each person’s individuality, so that all students may spread their wings after graduation.

Subsidize Part of the Job Hunting Transportation Expenses

We subsidize part of the transportation expenses for students who are looking for a job in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, or in their hometowns.

Utilize the Tokyo and Osaka Satellite Campuses

D.W.C.L.A. students can utilize the Tokyo Satellite Campus (Tokyo, Chuo-ku) and the Osaka Satellite Campus (Osaka, Kita-ku), established by Doshisha University. These campuses are very convenient for adjusting the time, changing clothes (Tokyo only), and preparing documents while job hunting. We rent out laptop computers exclusively for D.W.C.L.A. students, and also sell resumes and envelopes designated by the university.

Internships

Internship IA/IB (Implemented by Career Support Department)

Every year, we create internships at about 100 companies in a variety of industries in over 20 regions nationwide, as well as overseas (China, Australia, Malaysia). Through the experience of actually working at a company, students can expect to establish a vocational outlook, and improve their motivation to work and study. In addition to the pre-service guidance, which helps students learn business manners such as attitude and language, we also provide post-service guidance where students can report on what they have learned from their work experience, and share information with each other. We provide a fully-realized system, which includes post-work guidance for information sharing, and to clarify future issues and goals.

Internship II (Implemented by Each Department)

This is work experience at a company that is related to each department’s specialized field. Students can not only develop their attitude as a member of society, but can also deepen their industry knowledge, and confirm their suitability for their specialized fields.
