Basic Education Subjects

Students will learn basic academic abilities in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology during their 1st year.

Introductory Course

Students will learn the attitude and ethics of a medical professional during their 1st year.

Applied / Detailed Courses

Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in pharmacotherapy as a pharmacist, such as medicine chemical properties and patient care. There are also internship courses where students can experience working at a drug regulatory agency.

Pharmacy English

As a mandatory course in the 3rd and 4th years, we are cultivating pharmacists that will be highly proficient in English and will be able to respond to internationalization.

Clinical Pharmacy Overseas Circumstances

This is a course that is positioned in the 6th year to develop communicative abilities in pharmaceutical English.

Graduation Research

With the objective of developing scientific thinking ability, problem finding ability, and problem solving ability, students will conduct pharmaceutical research for 3 years, starting from the 3rd year fall semester.

Courses of Interest

Early Experimental Learning I / II

Introductory training during the 1st year will include practices for preparing medicine, and visits to hospitals and pharmacies. Additionally, there will be lectures with the goal of strengthening communication skills, aiming to become medical professionals with a rich character.

 

Training at Simulated Hospitals and Pharmacies

Apply the content of the subjects learned thus far, and learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for pharmacist duties.

 

Introduction to Medical Ethics

Students will understand the basics of medical ethics and their importance through ethical issues in various medical situations, such as the birth of life, death, and informed consent.

 

Food Hygiene Science

Scientifically understand the functionality and effects of food-containing ingredients, and learn the basic knowledge regarding food, such as nutrient function and metabolism, and safety and hygiene management.

 

Functional Morphology I / II

Study functionality such as body composition and tissue interaction. Aim to acquire knowledge of anatomy, histology, and general physiology.

 

Medical Safety Science

Understand the basics and testing methods for necessary safety tests in order to strictly confirm the safety of new drug candidates.
