Basic Education Subjects
From the 1st year to the 3rd year spring semester students will learn the specialized knowledge that forms the basics of nursing.
Introductory Course
Students will acquire nursing knowledge, skills and attitude from the between the 1st and 2nd years.
Applied / Detailed Courses
Through on-campus lectures, exercises, and comprehensive nursing practice exercises, and off-campus training, we will develop nursing practical skills and specialized health literacy incrementally over a 4-year period.
Graduation Research
Students will explore their own view of nursing from the 3rd year to the 4th year.
Courses of Interest
Body Structure
Students will learn about the structure and functionality of the human body, the basics of nursing, such as body composition, sending blood throughout the body, ingesting, digesting, absorbing, and excrement of food, producing urine, and the mechanism for leaving offspring behind.
Global Health / Global Nursing Activity Theory
Deepen the understanding of health and health care of people worldwide, learn about the demographic, socio-economic, and cultural factors that affect health, and learn about development assistance and support for foreigners living in Japan through the participatory learning behavior method.
Mental Structure and Health Care
Understand mental structure, and the issues and roles of mental health relevant to maintaining and promoting mental health in modern society.
Lifestyle Support Technology
Learn about environment, activities, cleanliness, meals, excretion, and comfort support, which are the basics of nursing. Students will form small groups and take turns playing the role of nurse, patient, and observer, and will acquire knowledge, skills, and ethical attitudes.
Introduction to Gerontological Nursing / Gerontological Nursing Assistance A/B
Understand what it means to live as an elderly person in a society with a declining birthrate and a super-aging population, and learn the nursing necessary for the prevention and recovery of lifestyle functions that may deteriorate due to aging changes and illnesses.
Adult Acute Phase Nursing Assistance Theory
In order for adult patients to adapt to the physical, mental, and social changes that accompany surgery, students will learn about the effects of surgery and anesthesia on the body and the psychological state, and study body management and regular lifestyle support methods for before and after surgery.
