Develop an interest in the state of society, and foster an attitude of being proactive in addressing various social issues through learning about the structure, culture, and social background of mass media/communication and journalism.

Understand the role of producers in the entertainment and business industries, and cultivate the ability to accurately collect, edit, spread, and evaluate information through practical learning related to planning and management.

Courses of Interest

Art & Design

Basic exercises for graphics, websites, photos, and videos

Students will acquire the basic skills needed for creating media content through subject creation using dedicated software, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.

 

Animation Expression Exercise

Train in expression techniques and create works through the expression characteristics that are unique to animation.

Mass Media & Culture

Media Culture History

As media culture changes, we will look at the current state and the future of a borderless information society. Consider cultural history from a media viewpoint while introducing theories.

 

Exercises creating documentaries and dramas

Learn about things such as using shooting equipment such as a single-lens reflex cameras, and the theory and production methods necessary for video expression. Students will also learn the abilities for working on things as a team, such as creating production plans and the division of roles.

Entertainment & Business

Entertainment Industry Theory

Introduce the history and basics of movies, theater, TV, commercials, radio, website, the internet, and cell phone videos. We will consider the future of entertainment in the digital age.

 

Management Research

Learn about the concepts of self-production, and self-management for designing and realizing the future, and gain knowledge about business management from business purpose and structure explanations.

Media & Technology

Programming A I-IV

In I and II, students will learn the basics of programming that instructs computers to do processing work, using the Java programming language. In III and IV, students will study practical programs that can be used on cell phones.

 

Database Theory

Learn how to design and operate databases upon understanding their basics. Students will also use an actual database, and practice building a small-scale database.
